Another dance season is about to begin...
and we look forward to seeing you back!
The Alexander Community Association will once again be providing a full and diversified dance
program for youth in our community from ages 2 and up.
This year Dance Alliance introduces on-line registration. Registration opens on July 10, 2010.
Be sure to register early, as classes often fill up quickly and registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis!
If a class is full, please email Jennifer Bougie
with the class number and time and you will be placed on a cancellation list.

If you are not able to register on-line, please contact Jennifer Bougie by email or by phone at 613-274-3731 after July 5th.
Registration closes August 11, 2010. Any changes after this date must be submitted to the executive and will be subject to a $20 administration fee. This includes withdrawl from a class.
On Saturday, September 11, 2010, go to the Alexander Community Centre between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon,
to pick up your child’s confirmed schedule and to make payment. If you are unable to attend personally on that day
please ensure that someone attends on your behalf to pick up your child’s schedule and to make payment.
Note: No registration fee is required until September 11th.
Dance classes are held on Saturdays and are scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 25, 2010.
Dance Shoes
If you are interested in selling outgrown dance shoes or in buying used shoes, there will be a table set up at the Centre
on Registration Day for that purpose. It will be necessary for you to stay with your items for sale however as the Centre
will not be responsible for lost or stolen merchandise.
Competitive Dance
Try-outs for all competitive groups will be held on September 25, October 2 and October 16th.
Interested dancers must attend all three try-outs. Dancers will be invited to join the team by October 29th.
Practice will begin on October 30th.
Team members are expected to attend all practices, which will most likely include weeknight practices.
Members are permitted to miss only 3 classes each year.
Dancers and their parents are required to sign a letter of agreement indicating their commitment to the Team and their understanding
and agreement of a number of requirements. Please contact Dana Donovan for more information.

so you can follow the instructions below as you go through the registration process.

General notes and tips:
- In some browsers, the above operation creates a new tab in the browser with the label “Login”.
You have to click on this tab to see the Login page for the online registration process.
- To make the print larger or smaller on the registration site, click on the View menu of your browser and choose
either "Zoom" or "Text Size".
- You can use the Tab key to quickly move from field to field on the registration forms.
- Please create only one account per family. All your children can be registered using the same account.
- Do NOT use your browser's back and forward buttons, use only the buttons provided by the registratons application,
otherwise unexpected behaviour may occur.
- This is a brand new application so, while we have made every effort to thoroughly test it and get all the bugs out,
someone is bound to find one that got by us.
If you are the one and something strange happens, don't panic. If possible, save and exit, and email us at
Chris Carter or Vicky Snarr Carter, providing a description of the problem and we will get things sorted out for you.
Registration Instructions:
- On the Login Page, click on the "Create Account" button.
- The Parent/Guardian Information page will be displayed. Enter information for all
the fields having a red asterisk (*). Your password must be no more than 12 characters long.
You must enter at least one phone number for both yourself and your
emergency contact. Press the "Save" button.
- The Student Registration page will be displayed. Verify that the Contact and Emergency Contact information is correct.
If necessary, update it by pressing the "Change Contact Information" button. To register a student, press the
"New" button.
- The Student Information page will be displayed. Enter the first name, last name and age of your child.
Optionally, enter any health issues or other concerns. If your child is interested in the competitive dance program, enter the desired technique level as well as the
dance disciplines of interest. Press the "Save" button.
- The Course Selection page will be displayed. Select a class by clicking the round button in the class box.
Cancel a selection by clicking on the button in the "NO" column at the beginning of the row. If the class box is pink,
then the class is full. Contact Jennifer Bougie to be added to a cancellation list for the class.
- When you have made all your selections, press the Save button, followed by the Exit button to return to the Student Registration page.
To register another child, repeat the instructions above.
- Once you have selected the courses for all your children, you may go back and review the choices for one or more of your children by clicking on the box next to the each child's name and pressing the "Edit" button.
Pressing the "Details" button will display a summary for all selected children. This is your confirmation that your children are registered.
You should print our this page for your records.
- Once you are done, press the "Sign Off" button. You will be returned to the Login page.
- Up until August 1 when registration closes, you may login at any time using your email address and password, to review and make changes to your course selections.
